Last week, Chesterfield's Labour Councillors voted to increase their own pay by nearly 15 per cent, despite a near £4 million shortfall in the Council's budget as a result of years of wasteful mismanagement.
This comes only a few months after Chesterfield Council was found to have the largest bonus bill in the entire country for its staff - totalling almost £2.5 million.
