Prospective MP For Chesterfield Ben Flook met with the organisers of the Chesterfield Motorfestival, Adrian Ashton and Beverley Thomas, along with Derbyshire County Council Leader Barry Lewis to discuss Ben's plan to bring back the Motorfestival to Chesterfield as part of his campaign to be the Town's next MP.
Despite being a roaring success in 2019, the Labour Council decided to cancel this hugely successful event - in the latest blow to Chesterfield Town Centre, which has continued to decline under a Labour Council and a Labour MP.
Commenting after the meeting, Prospective MP Ben Flook said:
"Chesterfield has been neglected by a Labour MP and a Labour Council. As part of my campaign to Save Our Town Centre, I want to bring the Motorfestival back to Chesterfield - so we can attract more investment to our Town and create local jobs."
