Prospective Conservative MP For Chesterfield, Ben Flook, has welcomed the announcement that 351 extra police officers have been recruited for Derbyshire since 2019.
The latest figures come as the Conservative Government has met its target to recruit 20,000 more police officers to ensure crime is tackled and communities are kept safe.
The Conservatives are continuing to deliver on tackling crime by boosting police funding to £16.9 billion and increasing officer pay.
Since 2021, burglaries have reduced and anti-social behaviour is down by 30% and road fatalities are down 25%.
Prospective MP for Chesterfield Ben Flook is working with Conservative Police and Crime Commissioner, Angelique Foster, to cut crime in Chesterfield.
Ben will hold regular forums for residents with our local police to discuss priorities for tackling crime – so your problems can be solved.
Together, we will have a zero tolerance approach to anti-social behaviour and will also support police officers to use extra powers like stop and search.
