The Chesterfield-Staveley by-pass has been in the works for 90 years. Recently, the Conservative Government funded detailed work to build a business case for the by-pass.
The Conservative-run Derbyshire County Council have submitted the case back to the Government. The Government are now considering the bid and we should hear a decision on it soon.
